"No, I knew the..." Chronicle looked innocently at Izzy where she would have sworn "parents. But the idiots didn't think they could handle a second daughter. I wanted them to keep you, I said I'd go. I knew I was going to die at twenty anyway. I couldn't die earlier or later, so it didn't mat--" Chronicle looked suddenly extremely surprised, this was the first time she'd even briefly told anyone about her curse. "L-look, I have to be going now." The shadow tamer picked up her things and scuried away.

Izzy starred at Chronicle, who was walking away. "My parents didnt want me." she muttered. She could feel her eyes start to fill with tears. She clenched a fist, and the tears evaporated. "If they didnt want me, so what. I never loved them anyway." With that, she turned away, and started to head for the Chammerance hallways. Thoughts were pilling in her mind. I have a sister. What was she talking about? "only living till 20?"
