Lillian half-turned her head when Loki mentioned 'defenseless', then let it drop. She shifted her turquoise gaze to Chronicle, who'd just entered the library. From the look on the shadow-tamer's face, Lillian could tell that she didn't like Ares either. The shifter watched the scene that presented itself; Chronicle definitely wasn't Lillian's type, and they weren't great friends but for now they could form an unspoken alliance against Ares. A little too confident? the shifter thought to herself, as Chronicle spoke, hoping Ares really would stick to his word of not hurting a girl. The look he shot at Chronicle was definitely dangerous. What's wrong with him, anyways? Lillian said to herself, referring to Ares. He really was picking a fight; we didn't do anything at all to provoke that stuck-up moron, but he'd chosen himself to just barge into our conversation. And it was going well, too. With a twinge of regret, The shape-shifter wondered if she could possibly get it going again after this scenario, she wanted to learn more about Loki and her throat was burning with swallowed questions.

Loki sighed as the Chamerance girl told him off and extinguished his flame. The summer god sat once more and looked pointedly at Lillian to do the same. He was bored again.

Lillian gave another glance at the slowly closing door out of which Ares and Chronicle had just walked. Let it go. she told herself, and let her knees bend slowly as she sat down. The shifter wasn't sure how to start up the conversation again, and after a while of silence, finally said, "How long have you been here - this school?" In reality, she was curious of his age. He looked borderline sixteen, but she wanted to be sure. Another wave of guilt washed over Lillian again, but she pushed it off, by far more interested in what Loki had to say.
[that's okay. ]

"Less than fifty years." Loki said non-chalauntly.

Lillian nodded a little, and said, "Well, that's more than me. I've been here only thirty." A pause. "Did you keep your age of... death?" she asked, not feeling much herself. The shifter was usually not the one to initiate discussions. But Loki had made her feel like someone else ever since a minute after they met. Why him? Why'd you fall for him? she asked, feeling divided. Lillian didn't really want to love anybody, she'd always viewed it as a burden that pulled treacherously at your freedom and independence. But I want to, so why can't I? Lillian countered at herself. She blinked, trying once more to push away the part of her that kept wanting her old self back.

"Nearly, I died around 13 I think..." Loki said. He yawned, he really wanted to make some more fire.

"I did too." Lillian replied in response to Loki's age of death. "I was two years a spirit until I found the school, so now I'm fifteen." She glanced up at the pyrokinetic again, noticing how violet his eyes were.
[OOC: How about when he finds her diary, you could be like, "Loki opened the book and read..." and then I'll respond with what is in there or something? That'd be cool, and this is kind of a random idea so...]

(nuuuu, Chronicle's off giving Ares a fight. And that's what I was planning, @ Lil'.)
Loki's eyes took up their dance once more. "I see." He looked out the window "Hey, you wanna go outside? It's nice out there."

Lillian felt a twinge of frustration that Loki wasn't getting her point. She quickly let it go, however, when the summer-god asked her to go outside. One of her favorite places. She'd gradually find out more about him later. "Okay!" Lillian said, trying not to sound overly eager. She knew that she had homework that was waiting to be done, and much more - but she didn't really care. Time spent with Loki was worth it.

Izzy shut her book, and walked out of the library, board as usual. But in the middle of the hallway, she stopped. Chronicle was yelling at Ares, who obviously looked angry. His ears were bright pink, and his forhead was rinkaled. Izzy let out a loud laugh, having to slap her hands over it to stop.

Loki stretched and grinned as thye walked outside to sunshine. "It's really nice out here!" His voice chimed as he felt the heat from the sun on his face.

"Yeah." Lillian agreed. "Do you like sports? Running, soccer, swimming...?" she asked, tilting her head back and admiring the blue sky, her pupils contracting from the strong sunlight.
