Lillian shivered a little at the sudden cold. "I'm sorry." she said quickly. "If that's a sensitive subject, we don't have to discuss it." She stood awkwardly, unsure of what she was supposed to do. I don't like being reminded of my past, maybe this has something to do with his. Lillian was utterly confused at what Loki meant by 'her', but didn't want to ask in fear of upsetting him further. She fingered the necklace she kept on - the only jewelery she normally wore, yet always wore to cover up the small, circular scar that she retained from her past life, a token to forever remind her of how she'd died.

"N-no, it's fine. I can tell you want to know." Loki said quietly "It's better to talk. She was a very close friend of mine when I left my home. I traveled alot and performed at festivals. I met her when I was doing some juggling. She was younger than me by a year. She asked if she could learn. I taught her, and she wanted to travel with me. It turned out she was a runaway like me, but from a much richer family. She knew how to play piano and she taught me. She had a gift, an amazing thing. She could play a peice ment for three people without it phazing her, beautifully too. But... her family eventually found her and took her away to marry some rich man fourty years her senior. I gave up piano when she left."

Lillian let her necklace drop to its original place. When Loki finished, silence rang through the air louder than it would've been if someone had been shrieking. "I'm sorry.." the shifter managed to say. Her turquoise eyes found her shoes. "You must miss her." But Lillian felt more than just sympathy and sadness, she felt and, after a few moments, recognized jealousy. She didn't really try to hide it from herself, and wondered if Loki had loved this girl. She had a good idea of her feelings toward this person she had known for only an hour... It's a crush. Lillian interrupted in her mind, so harshly that she physically looked up. People have them. Loki's popular, and I'm not the first one. So relax.

"A-a little." His voice sounded blocked, like he was trying not to cough, or cry. It had all just come out, a river of words he'd promised himself he'd never utter. Guilt flashed in his eyes, replacing the laughter that so usually danced there.

Lillian suddenly felt overwhelmed by guilt for her feelings, and then touched that he would share this with her. She wasn't sure what to say anymore, whether to try and comfort him, or... well, she couldn't just walk away, and she didn't have a story to match his. So maybe change the subject? Lillian wasn't sure. She let silence engulf them for several moments, and then said, again awkwardly, "Is... there anything else that you... like? Or are good at?" It was quite obvious that she was trying to change the topic, and hoped Loki wouldn't mind - she wasn't sure if he'd appreciate it or not.

"I like games, and sunlight, and fire. Warmth and daylight. I like people, nice people especially. I love piano even if the person who taught me is gone. I love to sing and to learn. I guess most of all though, I like living again." A smile touched Loki's lips.

Ares leaned against the wall listening into the conversation between Loki and Lillian. He smirked as Loki told the shapeshifter what he loved, he spoke out loud to himself, not caring if they heard, "In other words, sissy stuff. Sunlight? Wow," He knew they probably had heard him and they wouldn't be happy, not that he cared.

Lillian began to respond, but someone beat her to it. She whipped around and glared in the direction from which she had heard the comment, and half said, half snarled, "That's right, almost as sissy as you are." The shifter felt her fist clench at her side, between her thigh and the edge of the stage. She had the sudden urge to shift into a tiger's form, or maybe a wolf, and see for herself how long his innards were.

"I wouldn't advise attacking me," Ares said casually watching Lillian struggle with the urge to shape-shft and leap at him, "It would get nasty quickly, no I wouldn't hurt a girl." He said smirking, "But if I was attacked by say, a lion or something like that, then it would be purely self defense." He grinned at her obnoxiously knowing it would drive her crazy. Izzy quickly walked through the long hallway, in hopes of getting to the library quickly. Just need the 2nd edition of Wizard's Guide to Portals... She paced through the golden archway of the library. Lillian and Loki were sitting at one of the cherry wood tables, while a large figure stood in the shadows of one of the book cases. "Hi Loki, hi Lillian." She greeted. Loki nodded hello to her, while Lillian didn't even look at her. She was glaring coldly at the shadowy figure, which was Ares. "Um, hi." she added. Ares only shot her an annoyed glance. "Whatever." Izzy muttered. She headed to the back of the library. Now to find my book.

Lillian raised her chin a little, focusing on Ares with her left eye, which was glittering like sea-ice with disgust. "I don't need your advice." She replied tartly, her jaw tightening. "Why would I waste my time attacking a jerk like you, anyways?" This Chamerance member got on her nerves. She hated the way he sauntered, the way he talked as if he were addressing two pieces of dirt that had somehow found the temerity to stick onto the soles of his shoes. Oh yes, there was the urge to jump at him; but Lillian wasn't stupid. A member of Chamerance whose name was chosen after the Greek god of war and who boasted so about his fighting abilities probably wasn't smart to pick one with. But her abstinence went only so far; she would verbally try her best to punch his brains out.

"Heh, you've got no shame, do you? Picking on a defensless," Loki paused here, hoping Lil' wouldn't speak up then continued "Shapeshifting girl." In Loki's hand, a ball of fire formed. It twined down his arm, as if he was just stretching for a gymnastics meet.

"Stop." Chronicle's cool voice sounded through the library. Everyone immediately did so, as the library was filled with shadows and as soon as Chronicle stepped in she was in control. "Ares, stop picking fights with other students, understand?" Authority and pride rang in the shadow tamer's voice "And you, Loki I presume, You do realize how precious books are and how easily fire destroys them?"

Ares raised his eye brown at Chronicle as if to say 'seriously?' "Yeah whatever," He said and began to walk towards the door of the library. He bumped into Loki purposefully and pushed past Chronicle out into the hall. He moved quickly, using his power to help him, and sped down the hall. They would pay, all of them would, Lillian, Loki and Chonricle. He would show them that he hadn't called himself Ares for nothing.[/color]

"Stop." Chronicle repeated, this time the shadows tripped the dark eyed boy. "You have a lesson to learn; when you pick a fight you usually get one."
