"So, whats your power?" Zera asked, walking beside Chronicle. "Shadow Tamer." she replied. "Cool." After a while of walking, they finally reached the path leading down to the lake. "Almost there." Chronicle said.
Finally, the two reached the shore. A boy with pale blonde hair was spread out on the pepples, taking in the rays of warm sunshine. He looked up, and smiled. "New Student?" he asked. "Zera, this is Loki,Summer God. Loki, this is Zera." Loki sat up. "Hey. Welcome to the castle. Whats your power?" "Angel Summoner." Zera answered. Loki grinned. "You'v met Rama, ya?" Zera smiled slyly. "Ya, what a joy he is."

"Joy? Either you're being sarcastic or the weirdest guy I've ever met." Loki grinned and Chronicle giggled. "Talking about me?" Rama's voice sounded from above them. He jumped from the tree he'd been in. Chronicle immediately saw something wrong with his smile and his slouching walk. "No, we're talking about Rama." Chronicle glared at the demon trying to look like his master, trying not to tremble "Now who are you?" "Oh, how'd you know?" The Rama look-alike sneered. "I've known Rama for a long time, now who are you?" The shadow tamer growled. "Oh, but you don't wanna know." He looked at the girl for a moment, then showed his tall, blonde-brown haired true self. Avira. The shadow tamer froze, terror flooding her. "Y-you." Malice echoed, cold and liqued in Chronicle's voice. "Yep." Avira stuck out his tongue "Remember, you've got four years." The demon disappeared into the air. Chronicle fell to her knees, holding back tears He was so close all that time. Why was he in Rama's form. He can't be... no.

Zera stood, unsure what to say. "What did the demon mean by four years left?" he asked Chronicle. Chronicle only shook her head, her arms trembeling. A tear dripped down her cheek.

"No one should know. I don't want you to know." The shadow tamer's voice was barely more than a whisper.

Zera lowered his eyes to the floor. "If you wish for me to know, then you will speak when the time comes. But now, I will not ask." he said. Chronicle wiped her eyes, and stood to her feet. "Its time for dinner. Follow me." she said. Zera and Loki followed the shadow tamer up the winding path torwards the castle.
Finally Chronicle swung open the grand golden doors. Students were crowded in, talking in groups, others sitting at the cherry wood tables.

Loki headed off to the Capricorna table and the Chamerance students headed to their own. Rama sat at one side, and looked as always as if he was waiting for Chronicle, as she always did, to sit beside him and argue. If it was possible, his face fell into an even gloomier mood than before as she passed him and sat as far away as the table would allow.

Zera followed Chronicle, and politley pulled out her chair. Then he sat down himself, and gazed at the food infront of him. A brown haired boy, older then Zera, plopped down in one of the seats about two feet away. "New kid?" he asked, turning cold eyes on Chronicle. "Zera, this is Ares. He has the power of strenghth. Ares, this is Zera, angel summoner." she muttered, returning the glarr. The angel summoner raised a blonde eye brow. "Strenght? I see. But no human can meet the strength of God. He the Father is the stongest." Zera replied cooly. Ares slamed a fist on the table. "What did you angel boy?" he growled.

Chronicle sighed "You should cut the angel stuff, It might get you killed here. Especially in Chamerance. We're not the most... Let's just say all of us are damned." Rama was still sitting at the end of the table, looking like an outcast.

Zera shruged. "There hearts are hard. Very, very hard..." he said. Chronicle twirled a peice of her long blonde hair. "Thats just the way Chammerance students are. Darker than most. You'll just have to get used to it." Zera nodded. "My aproach to others has'nt exactly worked, well." he smiled. The side of Chronicle's lips curled upward. "A bit to sunshiney and peace I supose."
"You, yes you. Who are you?" A pale, blue eyed, guy sat at the middle of the table, and gave Zera a suspicious look. "Zera. Im new." Dont mention the angel part. "And you?" Zera asked. The guy smiled slyly. "Hod." A whispy, ghostly looking wind twirled around Zera. Coldness fought their way into his skin, making him shiver. "And that, is my power." Hod declared. Chronicle rolled her eyes. "Winter God."

Chronicle sighed as the meal concluded, then stood. "Okay guys, tomorrow is Chamerance's day off. So nobody needs to go to class." Chronicle was the first to stand and leave the dining hall. She got to the Chamerance tower quickly and entered her room. Again, like before, she slumped at her desk. Rama burst in after her. "Chronicle, I'm sorry. I really, really am!" He said collapsing into the chair on the opposite side of the desk. The shadow tamer stopped, it was the first time Rama had apologized to her.

Zera took a slow bite of his dinner. First day of school. Weird. He set down the silver fork, and stood.
Zera opened the door to his room, and walked in. He fell backword on his bed, and let out a long breathe. "Tomorrow. No school for me. What will I do?" The angel summoner whispered. The blonde haired girl whisped into his mind. Chronicle. A bad feeling seemed to creep its way through him.

"Chronicle, please. It's not my fault he..." Rama's voice struck pity in Chronicle only until he concluded with "he did that to you." "You knew? And you didn't tell me. You knew he was here and he gave me this curse and you did nothing?" Chronicle's eyes were furious, though her voice sounded as if she was trying to be calm "What kind of human are you? Or are you just another of your damned demon-buddies?" "I-i'm sorry." Rama looked down "I...I didn't tell you because I thought I could break it... and this." Rama's fingers were trembling as he unbuttoned his shirt. It lay there, plain and black like a tattoo. Like Chronicle's own mark. "I formed a pact with him of utter loyalty." Rama looked down, his violet eyes were concealing something and the shadow tamer couldn't tell what.
(It would be ackward if Zera walked in right now. I ran out of muse.)

(Okay I will wait a bit. ) Zera sat up, and rubbed his forehead. He looked around his room, slightly board. I guess I should just go to bed. The angel summoner put both hands on the iron handles of the wardrobe, and pulled the polished wood doors open. He yanked a pair of maroon sweet pants off one of the hangers, along with a black t-shirt. Slipping of his blue and green polo, Zera smiled. The engraved cross on his wrist seemed to glow. After pulling off his jeans and putting on his sleep atier, Zera pulled open the curtains of his window. The forest spread infront of him, the moon glowing off of the pine needles and leaves.

Chronicle and Rama sat there for quite a while before the shadow tamer broke the silence "Wh-why?" "Because, I was just some kid. I wasn't special or strong, and I certainly wasn't smart." Rama looked sadly at the shadow tamer "Why are you telling me? How? If you weren't strong you wouldn't be able to tell me this!" Chronicle reached her hand across the desk onto his bare shoulder. The demon summoner put his hand on hers and smiled. "You're too childish. You still believe that your curse can be broken." Rama took her hand and brushed her fingers across his demon mark. Chronicle's energy surged, pain sizzling at the edges of it. The shadows in the room picked up, forming a hurricane of darkness. "So what if I do?!" Chronicle's voice was wavering as the shadows spun more feircely. Strangely, nothinmg in the room was damaged or moved "Chronicle, stop!" Rama shouted. He say the despair in her eyes. He had to stop her! Rama thrust himself at the smaller girl. He caught her wrists and slammed her against the wall. His eyes were stern as he said "You musn't loose yourself like that! You'll summon demons with that kind of dark energy!" Chronicle opened her mouth to retort, but Rama blocked it with his own.
(Yay, our forum's first kiss! Zera should come in now.)
